1ST WATERFALLS OF MALAYSIA PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Now’s your chance! The 1st Waterfalls of Malaysia Photography Contest by Waterfall Survivors is HERE!!! Will be held from 1st November 2010 – 27th February 2011, If you enjoy photography and
nature, you are invited to join our photography competition.
This contest is to help us generate some funds for our Save Our Waterfalls Campaign and Waterfall Survivors' Sustainable Fund. Hope you guys could contribute to our cause.
How Can I Join This Photographic Competition?
Step 1
- Read our Rules and Regulation. Follow carefully.
Step 2
– Fill Up the Registration Form
Step 4
- Attend some of the events in our Calendar and shoot some great photos in our waterfalls or visit the waterfalls on your own.
Step 5
- Submit those great photographs to us!
Deadline for Registration: 31st March 2011
Deadline for submission of entries: On or before 31st March 2011 before 11pm

RULES & REGULATIONS
Please read our photographic competition rules & regulations carefully:
The photographic contest is open to all Malaysian citizens and foreign visitors. Committees of Waterfall Survivors are not allowed to participate in the competition.
1. Each participant is required to pay a registration fee of RM50. The fee needs to be paid in cash during registration. For online registration, please make your payment to Waterfall Explorers Sdn Bhd 5126 6102 0029 Maybank and email your transaction slip to photos@waterfallsurvivors.com.my. This supporting fee also contributes to the Save Our Waterfalls Cause and Waterfall Survivors Fund.
2. Participants are entitled to join 1 Waterfall daytrips* in the Waterfall Survivors Event Calendar. Check out our event calendar at Facebook Event. *Note: Only waives the RM10 Admin Charges by Waterfall Survivors. If you wish to join more trips to get your best shots, our events are available at our

3. All photographs must be taken within Malaysia Waterfalls.
4. Participants must bring their own camera and equipments.
5. Participants can be disqualified at any time without notice if they have breached any of these rules & regulations.
6. Waterfall Survivors cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances or accidents which occur during the waterfall expedition or in the event of loss, personal injury, or death as a result of participation in the competition.
7. Participants who join Waterfall Survivors expeditions for photo shootings will have to follow the Rules & Regulations of the Events.
8. Participants can send in as many entries as they wish, however a participant can only win one (1) prize or place. Each entry must be accompanied by by name & location of waterfall, the date of the image was taken and description of picture
i.e. Kanching Waterfall, Rawang, Selangor, 31/10/2010, F22, 2/secs, ISO100
. Images taken must be taken not more than 6 months from the starting of the contest.
9. No digital super imposition is allowed. Composite photographs or any form of digital manipulations will not be accepted. Only minor image touch-ups such as cropping, adjustment of brightness and colors as well as softening or sharpening of the image are allowed.
10. Images submitted must be in a printed copy of an 8R (8 inch x 12 inches) size photo paper and also its digital copy CD/DVD of JPEG format only. The size of the image shall be no smaller than 3MB and in 300dpi. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
11. All photographs submitted must be originally produced and must have not been sold or granted permission to use to any other party. Waterfall Survivors and it’s partners shall be given complete right to use, display and reproduce all submitted photographs for any purposes without any notice.
12. Judging and assessment of the photograph will be based on technical quality, composition and uniqueness. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entertained.
13. All winners will be invited to a Prize Giving Ceremony on the date determined by the organizer. Winners will be notified by telephone or via e-mail. Any other costs such as cost of travelling and food are to be borne by the winners.
14. Waterfall Survivors reserves the right to substitute the prizes with equivalent value.
15. The closing date for the submission of photographs is by 11.00pm, 27th February 2011. Submission after the stated date & time shall not be entertained. Proof of delivery will not be accepted as proof of submission. You may submit by post or by hand to:
